Daniel Kirkland Buchanan is an
author and artist living in
Taos, New Mexico
and
Heath, Texas.
With a deep respect for nature and the great outdoors, he finds inspiration through mountain treks, trail running, river rafting, kayaking, snow shoeing, cross country and alpine skiing. His art is a celebration of the ever-present beauty of nature.
Working primarily with oil on canvas with bold color in the post-impressionism style, Kirk paints stunning depictions of the iconic vistas of Northern New Mexico, Southern Colorado, and West Texas, including the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Rio Grande Valley, the Llano Estacado, and the ancient & historic adobe architecture of Taos and Santa Fe.
Helping people make the most of the resources that have been entrusted to them is a driving force behind Kirk's writing. Living life to the fullest today while responsibly planning for tomorrow do not have to be mutually exclusive.
