These are the ponderings of an artist on the trail.
As a writer, Kirk shares his observations through metaphorical language, inviting readers to discover their own life applications.
Inspired by boundless wilderness treks and a deep respect for nature, his artworks feature stunning depictions of the iconic vistas of Northern New Mexico, Southern Colorado, and West Texas, including the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Rio Grande Valley, the Llano Estacado, and the ancient & historic adobe architecture of Taos and Santa Fe.
For the curious and thoughtful, a philosophical and allegorical meaning can be found in each of his works, whether in words or paintings, though often very subtle and almost hidden. This reflection and expression by the author + artist allows the interpretation to remain open to the viewer.
